The patented, closed kinetic chain stepping motion is easy on arthritic knee joints and ensures proper form for safe and progressive results. The strokes are independent, meaning P44 can be used with both legs together, alternating, or even one at a time to accommodate many different abilities and conditions.
The independent resistance is controlled by two simple dials and each side can be set up to 100 lbs, allowing each leg to work to its own ability. Resistance is only in the concentric, or “pushing phase”, that builds muscle mass and strength without the Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) associated with eccentric training.
The optional LCD displays the resistance setting and the workout data of time, calories burned, and power output of each leg. This data is stored and can be wirelessly transferred to a PC, allowing user progress to be measured quantifiably and analyzed in many useful ways (coming soon).
p44 can be used from either or 4-legged chair or wheelchair. The wheelchair dock holds the p44 in place, allowing most types of wheelchairs to be rolled up and used without any attachment to the wheelchair itself, eliminating needless hassle for the user.

p44 weighs 25 lbs and has integrated rear wheels making it easy to transport around the largest health care facility or smallest condo unit. And its compact size allows it to be stored in a closet, under a table, or picked up by the rear handle and removed altogether.
