P44: The Most Versatile Stepper
P44 provides non-weight bearing, isotonic rehabilitation and exercise of the legs through a simple stepping motion. P44 allows the strokes to be independent, simultaneous, or linked. The resistance is also set independently for each leg, making P44 a cardiovascular device, a range of motion device, and a strengthening device.
Time, work, power, and the resistance setting are not only displayed on the optional LCD, but the data is stored for optional wireless bluetooth® transfer to a PC for analysis. This allows for more accurate charting of user progress in an electronic format.
All of this technology is wrapped in a stylish package that is light weight, compact, highly portable, and can be attached to any 4-legged chair (and wheelchairs) in seconds. All of this versatility comes at a size and price that is a fraction of other recumbent steppers.

Independent Strokes
P44 was designed to allow for independent strokes. This lets each leg work to its own ability and even permits using one leg. Independent strokes are useful for: |

- general cardiovascular exercise
- accommodating osteoarthritis in one or both knees
- stroke rehabilitation
- amputation therapy
|
Simultaneous Strokes
P44 can be also used to simulate a leg press by pushing with both legs at the same time. This is useful for: |
- targeted strengthening of the quadriceps
|
Linked Strokes
The optional leg linkage attachment sees P44 perform like other steppers. When one leg goes forward, the other leg is pulled back. This extra assistance can be useful for: |
- total joint replacement rehab
- restorative therapy
- geriatric exercise
